Not Your Father’s Root Beer
I first tried this beer on tap last year at Beelow’s steakhouse in Lake Zurich, IL. It blew me away, plus it was a lot stronger than the 5.9% alcohol bottled. I am a huge fan, and you immediately taste the vanilla and honey notes and a hoppy licorice finish on the back of the pallet.
Now whenever I want root beer, I might as well make it official and actually get Not Your Father's Root Beer instead. Also, good in BBQ sauces, marinades, and makes one mean root beer float!
Not Your Father’s Ginger Ale
This is a really fun beer to drink and after a few of them, you know you're drinking an alcoholic beverage. Because of the ginger, this beer goes extremely well with Asian cuisine, especially if you want a beer to go with your General Tso chicken. Talk about a nice compliment!
The flavor has a nice ginger burst on the front of the pallet and on the back of the pallet a finishing aftertaste of spices and a pleasant hoppy bitterness at the end.
Both beers are fun, and are good to drink barbecuing, fishing with your buddies or when you’re working in the garage. Either way you can’t lose.
